La Massaria
The Agriturismo
Staying at the Massaria was an amazing experiance. We felt wecome and at peace. The staff and food was amazing. The owner and I spoke about why we came. I shared Steve's photos of the olive grovve with him. He expanded my perspective in one sentance. "They call it Frangipani."
Captain, Guido Frangipani
Incarnata Farm
Rereading the records of 25 January 1944, I found out the estate used as the headquarters and the olive grove was refered to the Incarnata farm.

Frangipani "Incarnata" Farm
Donna Cristina, a very delicate woman, would invite us into the house to play and offer us sweets.

Talking to Locals
Mr. Frangipani's wife was Christina Incarnate. (een-car-not-ah)
The farm still has a stong meaning to the local people. They were wondeful enough to share their perspective and stories with me. This "place" is very much part of their cultural heritage.

Stornara Today
The Town of Murals
The town of Stornara's population has declined and it fell on hard times. Recently with great leadership and vision, art has revitalized the town. In 2025 alone the town has been featured in articles worldwide including Harvard, and the New York Post. Over 150 murals painted by artists from all over the world have made Stornara a tourist destination for people who love art and sharing their photos of them. Social Media has played a large part in this phenomenon. Once described as a "social workers dream" is now a thriving art destination.
